Andy Pfeifer has been the senior director of U.S. compensation and benefits at Smith & Nephew since April 2012. He joined Smith & Nephew with 20 years of human resources experience, 16 of which in the specialty areas of compensation and benefits. Pfeifer served as the director of global total rewards at The Timberland Co. for five years, implementing innovative compensation and benefit programs, including a wellness incentive plan. Prior to that, he spent seven years with ACCO Brands as the director of corporate compensation, where his work with the company's proxy statement was identified nationally as a best practice by Equilar and ISS. Pfeifer holds a B.S. in marketing from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
